Co2 lasers and materials

What are the advantages of laser cutting and laser engraving compared to mechanical processing, which materials do we currently process and which ones do we avoid? You can find out all this and more here.

01

Highest precision

Thanks to the latest CO2 laser technology, we achieve razor-sharp laser engravings even on the smallest details

02

versatility

Our laser engraves a wide variety of materials and thus opens up countless design possibilities.

03

Individual solutions

We adapt our engravings exactly to your needs and wishes to guarantee perfect results.

06

Economy:

In contrast to mechanical processing, the set-up and processing times are shorter. There is also no need for rework on acrylic, for example, as the edges are already "flame polished" by the laser cut.

05

resource-saving

With laser cutting, the cuts are fine and the distances can be kept small. This allows for better use of the material and less waste

04

sustainability

Unsere Gravuren sind langlebig und umweltfreundlich, da sie ohne den Einsatz von Chemikalien auskommen.

Which materials are suitable for processing with a Co2 laser

With a Co2 laser you can mark, engrave and/or cut various materials such as wood, rubber, various plastics and more.

A list of other materials that we process and edit can be found here (list is not exhaustive):

Which materials are unsuitable for laser processing?

There are materials that are not suitable for laser cutting with a CO2 laser because, for example, they release environmentally harmful, aggressive substances, damage the laser or pose an increased risk of fire.

A list of other materials that we neither process nor edit can be found here (list is not exhaustive):

Which materials are generally not processed with the laser due to their ingredients?

Folgende Stoffe setzen bei der Laserbearbeitung gesundheitsschädliche Stoffe frei und werden daher nicht verarbeitet:

  • carbon fibers

  • Kydex

  • fluorine

  • chrome

  • bromine

  • iodine

  • Kydex

  • halogen

  • beryllium oxides

  • PVB

  • (artificial) leather with chrome (VI)

  • Lead

  • copper

  • Cobalt

For materials that have the additional label "flame retardant", we check the processing beforehand. Bromine is used to achieve the flame retardant properties, which in turn should not be processed with the laser.
